“Launch time depends on the requirement of the satellite. They wanted the satellite to cross south to north of equator around noon, maybe due to sunlight condition. Our launcher goes from north to south of the equator. To meet the requirement, we needed to have a night launch,” said K Sivan, Isro chairman.
